Westkill Mountain
We went up Westkill in November of 2002. Jeff had found a cave on the mountain back when he was a forest ranger and his father wanted him to show it to him. So we led a trip up the mountain, found the cave, explored it and then made it to the summit of the mountain before heading back down. All of this in the first snow of the season!
Don't ask where it is though, we've all been sworn to secrecy about its exact location. Considering that: a) a cave itself is a rarity in the Catskills; and b) the cave serves as home to a large bat population that would be disturbed by visitors.
