My excuse is that Thanksgiving was this week so I haven't been around to do anything here on the computer.

I had to be in work the first part of the week and then I have had Thursday and Friday off.  Moe and I headed down to NY so that we could have Thanksgiving with my family.  Then we came back here on Friday morning.  It was actually snowing a bit on the drive back and then it really started snowing after we got home.

Ended up with like another inch of snow on top of the couple of inches that we had already gotten from the storm on Wednesday.  It looks mighty nice outside with all of the snow.

I worked with Moe last night and closed McDonalds.  So waking up this morning was pretty challenging.

The rest of the weekend should be pretty good and fairly relaxing.

Call me the moron - I took Sharon to Lincoln Park last night and spent some money, not tons, but I was trying to be good - like not going to a casino until the middle of December when I am taking Sharon and Moe to Foxwoods for a dinner and overnight stay.  Oh well, I guess no one is perfect.

The roommate is finally back at work!  I came home today to an empty house after work (Moe is closing) and I just about wanted to dance around and scream for joy.  It is so nice to be able to sit here and not have some annoying thing going on next to me.  Yahhooo!!!

I think that we are going to NH this weekend to visit Moe's grandmother, but I am not sure, it depends a lot on the weather - which at this point seems kind of iffy, but we will see.

Tori rocks the house!  We were at her show last night and it was one of the best concerts (and probably the best Tori show) that I have ever been to.  She played for about 2 hours and 10 minutes and had two 3 song encores.  It just couldn't have gotten any better unless she had called out a song to me.  It was that good.

We went to the show with Brendan and Moe's sister and her boyfriend and we all had a great time.  The only bad part was that I didn't get into bed this morning until around 1 so 5:30 in the morning rolled around awfully quickly when I had to get up for work.  But it sure was worth it.

Otherwise, it was a pretty slow weekend.  I worked on Saturday and then again on Sunday afternoon before the concert.  I am beginning to forget what a day off feels like.

I'm also starting to really dislike the roommate situation again.  Now that she has been home for almost two weeks - I am starting to get sick at the sight or thought of coming home and seeing her here.  I can't even take a piss in peace without her in the kitchen talking or something and she has had all of her shit ass friends over all the time.

I know that I shouldn't be letting it get to me, but god it really is.

Once again the northeast is blessed with having a nor'easter smack dab in the middle of the weekend again.  I'm starting to think that God has something against us having a nice weekend and being able to get anything done outside.  I've been trying to get the air conditioner out of the window for about a month now and whenever I am home, it's either too late, or it's too shitty out for me to do it.

I was supposed to have a nice quiet relaxing day today - since I didn't have to work at McDonalds and Moe was going to a concert with his sister.  But they needed someone to cover at the store so I was there and so I didn't get to enjoy the quiet with no one home.  But even if I was home, since Alicia had her breast reduction surgery, I've been blessed with having to see her god damn face 24/7 here at the apartment.

So I guess when she was working and I was working - I was able to brush shit under the rug and just not get upset that she was still here (see the older journals for some of that info).  But now that whenever I open my door, she's there - she is starting to drive me insane again.  It doesn't help that she has eaten everything that I said was mine and she is continuing to touch my stuff.  I just want to not live with her anymore - I want Moe and I to have our own place where we don't have to worry about anyone else doing shit.  It would be like heaven at this point.

Moe and his sister are at the Tori Amos concert in CT tonight and tomorrow night we are all going to see her in Providence, I can't wait to get there and see her!!  I haven't been to a Tori concert in like 3 years now and I just can't wait.

Then we get to see her again in Lowell on Tuesday - so I am going to have my Tori fix for quite some time.

I've got to help out at McDonalds for a few hours in the early afternoon tomorrow - count the money or something so that Moe and Brendan can get out quickly and we can all go to the concert.

Then next week at work is going to be more boring than anything - I'm in all day meetings the entire week - I'm gonna have to bring some vivarin with me just so I can stay awake.

I have a dislocated shoulder with tendonitis too - the doctor gave me plenty of ibuprofen to take to make it feel better.  Otherwise, there's not that much wrong with my shoulder.  At least it wasn't something serious.  If the drugs don't work, they said that they can inject something into my shoulder to make it feel better.  That's at least a month off, so we'll see how the stuff works in-between now and then.

Sharon and I went to Foxwoods last night - as I wasn't in the office today.  We spent all night down there and a good part of the morning.  I walked out $400 richer than I went in (well actually $340 richer since I went in with $60).  It was a lot of fun and we had a great time.

Today I slept until that doctor's appointment and have been doing odd stuff since then (going to the pharmacy, visiting Moe, etc.).  I think that I'm probably going to go to bed fairly early.  Tomorrow I have a morning meeting and then have the rest of the day off.

My shoulder hurts so much at the moment - and my wrist.  I can't stand it much more and I am pretty glad that I did make the doctor's appointment last week for this Wednesday, now if Wednesday could get here.  At this point, moving my arm around hurts so I am walking around with one hand in the pocket so it doesn't move around.

Watch, the doctor will say to take some Advil, to which I will respond that I already have and we'll go from there.

It was a quiet day for me today - I didn't have to work because it was Veteran's Day and I didn't have anything else to do.  I did make it and got my hair cut, but that is about the extent of what I accomplished.  I was going to go shopping, but I didn't want to spend any money, especially with Christmas just around the corner.

I visited Moe and work and then visited Sharon for a while, but otherwise, it's been pretty boring.  Moe's still at work (it's like 7:30 now) and he's supposed to be home sometime in the near future and we might go out and do something, but I am not sure what we are going to be doing.  Probably go to the mall or something like that if we even go out.  At this point, I would rather just sit and not move my arm.

The rest of the week should go by fairly quickly, considering it's already starting on a Tuesday.  Tuesday I'm in the office all day, but then Wednesday I have that doctor's appointment so I will only be there for a half a day and then Thursday I'm just in the office and then Friday I have a meeting that will last for a good part of the day - and then look - it's the weekend again!

I'll have a nice check on Wednesday from working at McDonalds all this past weekend.  Give me something to go and start some Christmas shopping with - though I have already decided that everyone is just getting some sort of photography from me in a nice frame.  This is an attempt to keep costs down and to get my photographic work out in the public so other people may want to get it.  I've discovered between my print photography and my digital photography, I have quite a collection of stuff that's pretty darn good (and that's not my ego - that's what people are saying), so I figure I should get it out there and then maybe I can make a go of it.

So another day working at McDonalds.  I really do give Moe and Sharon a lot of credit.  After two nights of closing, I feel like death warmed over.  It doesn't help that I went into working with a sore shoulder and wrist - now they really hurt.  Thank god, I have a doctor's appointment about them on Wednesday.  Right now, just twist my arm around makes my shoulder hurt.

I was the only grill person after 4 in the afternoon until close, so that was a pretty interesting experience.  Thank goodness that when I was a real manager at McDonalds, I pretty much was one of the best grill managers around and can still run circles around most people there.  What didn't help though was that after I cleaned one of the grills, the other one decided to break, so I had to reopen the grill I had just cleaned for the night.

Yeah, that sucked.

We went to Dunkin Donuts with Brendan after the close, here we were in our shitty McDonalds uniforms - I for one was completely coated in crud because I think that I was cleaning stuff that no one even realized that you could clean.  It's amazing how disgusting things can get when people don't clean them.  Even still, we were finished by about 12:30, which means that it took about an hour and a half to close the store after we stopped serving customers.  I was finished with the grill in about a 1/2 an hour, but I kept doing things to help Moe so he could get out faster.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, so I get an easy day off - nothing planned other than a haircut.

So I had to wait four days before I wrote anything, so it wasn't just bitching about the election.  It's over and done with and Mitt Romney managed to win here in Massachusetts and the republicans won all over the place.  Sort of depressing, but hell, I'm not going to let it get me down - will work harder next time to get those assholes out of office.

Otherwise, last week was meeting week for me at work.  I spent most of the week driving around the state and attending different meetings.  I put something like 500 miles on my car in about 4 days.  At least I got my 28 cents a mile for it.

Friday night we went and visited Alicia at the hospital.  She went in on Friday morning for her breast reduction and was all finished by the time we visited in the evening.  She was looking really good.  Afterwards, Moe, Brendan and I went out to dinner and then watched a movie.

Today I was working at McDonalds with Moe and the same tomorrow.  I can understand why he is so tired all of the time now, one 3 to close shift and I feel like sleeping all day (that's about 9.5 hours at McDonalds).  Now I have to do it all again tomorrow.

Why the fuck are the republicans winning?  Makes me want to go outside and vomit off my front porch.  We have an incompetent fool in the white house and that doesn't do anything to stop ignorant Americans from continuing to vote for his party and their failed policies.

I guess it's another several years of shit now.

And it appears that everyone's favorite scum bag Mitt Romney is winning here in Massachusetts, I did my civic duty - I voted for Shannon, but it doesn't seem like it was quite enough.

Enough bitching on the election.  I was down in Hyannis today for a meeting and I will have to be down there for all day tomorrow for some meetings too.  Basically the rest of the week I am out of the office which is a very good thing.  Then this weekend Moe and I are working at McDonalds all weekend.  I could use the extra money and we actually get to see one another for a change.

I think that at this point I am going to have a cigarette, turn off the TV and ignore the news for a while.  Hopefully some sort of miracle occurs overnight.

I hate commuting.  It took me an hour to get home from the train station when it usually takes about a half an hour.  Everyone was going about 5 miles per hour because it was raining.  It was rain folks - the road doesn't mystically change and become super treacherous when it rains.

Work was otherwise unexciting.

I finished with the updates to the site last night, the photos from the trip are up and the new outdoors intro page has been completed.  You can check them out through the outdoors link on the left side of this page.

I think that Moe and I are heading out to the mall tonight, but nothing very interesting.  Tomorrow is election day - get out there and vote!  And vote democratic for god's sake.

Back from a weekend in NY that Moe and I both managed to survive.  Saturday the two of us went hiking with my father and some of his friends and my brother.  We had a great time and I enjoyed showing them the cave that I had found when I was a forest ranger.  I'm putting together a photo gallery of the trip, you can check it out here.

Saturday night we headed to the Centerville Roast Beef Dinner - if you live in the area - you need to go there, even if you don't go visit New York on the first weekend in November and go to this dinner.  They serve all you can eat roast beef, mashed potatoes and vegetables and it all tastes better than great.  So after we all gorged ourselves on food there, it was back to the cabin where my father's friend did a slide show before we collapsed into bed.

Today we did some odd chores around the house before Moe and I headed back here to Massachusetts.  Got home around 8:30 or so and it turns out that I made it back in record time, 2 hours and 50 minutes for a usually 3 hour trip.  Shaved 10 minutes off somehow - probably from all the speeding.

This week should go by fairly quickly.  I've got meetings most of the week, so won't be in the office all that much and Moe's schedule almost jives with mine, so we will actually get to see a lot of each other.
