03/18/2005: "it ain't over till it's over..."

Since when did they start turning girl scouts into shrewd little marketing gurus? Moe was at the bank yesterday and there was a very young girl scout selling cookies. So on the way out he stopped since we both like them and he was like “do you have any of the shortbread ones,” and she was like “well, I have two left that I was saving for someone but since you’re so cute, I’ll sell them to you.” He walked out with two boxes of shortbread cookies.

Just when I get into the swing of spring and even start planning a day-trip into Boston with Moe this weekend to hit the Science Museum, it looks like we’ll be having at least one more snow storm before the winter is out. It doesn’t look like it will amount to much (famous last words, I know) – but I’m not going to be wandering around Boston in shitty weather – I do that for work everyday.

It’s been decided that we’re both going to NY after he gets out of work next Saturday to go down and celebrate Easter with my parents. However since not a single one of us is religious, it’s more just a chance to go and have some ham with my family.

Today’s my boss’ last day and he’s the one that brings in the donuts – that gives you an idea of how strange this place is.

I wonder if there’s a single Green Line train-car on the D-Line that doesn’t need to be turned off and turned on again to get the doors to close? Just about every single morning at each station, the train has to be reset for the doors to close properly and if you add up all the times it has to be done, there’s a huge waste of time.
