03/16/2005: "oh, it's that late..."
I guess our relationship has reached a point where anniversaries are sort of run of the mill. We had planned on going out to dinner and having a nice evening, but when I got home and found Moe asleep, I laid down and after what you’d expect to happen on an anniversary was over – we were like “let’s take nap…” and so Moe set his alarm and we were expecting to sleep for maybe an hour and then go out to dinner.
I woke up sometime around 8 and was like “oh” because at that point I knew if I got up and went out to dinner I’d never go back to sleep again and considering Moe was sound asleep I just figured I’d roll over and go back to sleep.
So we both probably got the gift we both needed the most – over 12 hours of sleep.
But I have to say with 12 hours of sleep, it’s amazing how good I feel this morning. I still might need my coffee, but compared to the sleepy haze I’m usually in – I can actually function before 10 this morning.
I’ve got tomorrow off thanks to the wonderfully quirky Boston holidays – yup, tomorrow’s Evacuation Day and if you are wondering what that is – it’s the day the British left Boston during the Revolutionary War.

Well congratulations on the anniversary! And it's nice to see the old masthead back on the blog--I always liked that picture.

thanks for the anniversary wishes :)
I told him the trip we're taking to Vegas at the end of April should make up for any missed dinners last night.

Happy Anniversary!
For the record - we blew by our second wedding anniversary (in June) and are only getting around to celebrating it in a couple of months... just in time for us to forget about the 3rd anniversary.
