02/22/2005: "what are you doing?"
It was like a scene out of a movie at the Reservoir stop on the green line this morning. As we were pulling into the station this guy and girl were hugging and then as the train slowed down he walked her to the door – she was crying and got on. Then as we pulled out, he ran after the train waving to her.
Don’t ask me why there was so much theatrics – she sat in the front of the car so I couldn’t see her reaction as he was running after the train waving at her.
It did at least get my attention above the book I was reading.
He was cute, but she was downright ugly – maybe she was leaving for the extreme makeover reality TV show.
The string of meetings starts this afternoon and so far everything is set to keep me out of the office for the rest of the week! Though this afternoon I have to take the new girl with me and then bring her back to the train station to drop her off so she can get home – I won’t have a clean shot home – but that’s a minor inconvenience compared to not having to be in the office all week.
That’ll make next week all that much harder, but for now I’m going to enjoy it.
