02/21/2005: "well it snowed all day, but it's hard to tell"

After watching it snow all day - when I finally went to plow the driveway - there was maybe 5 inches of snow at the most, probably more like 4. I swear it really did snow all day - I guess it all just didn't amount to very much.

I was lazy - I spent a better part of the day getting my new Dell DJ up and running (and discovered my USB hub was on the fritz in the process) and then unpacked and set up the new microwave/toaster oven. The thing is damn cool - it can microwave, bake and broil all in the same oven.

I know, a domesticated goddess - that's me.

We topped the night off with a trip to the 99 restaurant where we were first pushed out of the way by a snobby soccer mom bitch and her family because she was like "I was here first, sit me now" (we literally all showed up at the same time - and I was like "sit the bitch first" - she turned and stared at me - I loved it - the hostess just smiled when she came back and sat us, one of those knowing "thanks for at least saying something" looks) and then I watched this old lady - who I believe wasn't completely in control of her faculties, wander around the restaurant and stalk people in boothes because "someone was in her booth." I felt bad - but not bad enough to help as any waitress that tried to help her was yelled at and she would go stand in another corner.

Back to work tomorrow - but it's the only day all week I'll be in the office - so it isn't that bad. Otherwise it's all meetings that'll keep me out of Boston on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Woo Hoo for me!

Then we're heading to Moe's Grandmother's house for the weekend - to ski on Saturday and to spend some time with her on Sunday. A sort of mini-vacation.
