02/01/2005: "RCRW..."

I wonder if some people don’t understand commonsense. We had a staff meeting this morning and the Retarded Chinese Registration Woman (while RCRW isn’t actually retarded, it helps with the story telling) spent almost an hour practically yelling at all of us because she didn’t want to have to do all the registration work and thought we should help her. Plus she wanted everyone to make it as easy as possible for her. We all sat at the table with our arms folded, snears on our face. The new girl just sat there with this look of shock on her face.

It was priceless.

I did my taxes last night and for the first time in a few years – I’m finally getting money back from my both my federal and state taxes. When TurboTax spit out the final number, I almost danced around the den (well, there was music playing).

That took up the better part of the evening – by the time I got everything together, installed TurboTax, updated it and then entered everything. I’ve got to admit though, I don’t know what I did before TurboTax – the though of actually doing my taxes anymore scares the crap out of me.

I managed to get a picture from the ski trip on Saturday…

I had a good time – and I’ll be back out there if the snow doesn’t melt this week (I highly doubt it will, but it is settling quite fast). This weekend isn’t supposed to be all that bad weatherwise, so perhaps I’ll go out again on Saturday morning while Moe’s working.

I’ll be on the outer cape tomorrow – I’m interested in seeing how much snow they really do have out there.

Let me know how much snow the cape got. I was supposed to go down last weekend to visit my parents, but they said not to bother.

And congratulations on the tax refund. From selling a condo, I'm going to being owing money for the first time. UGH
