01/22/2005: "hunkering down"

Read it for yourself, there's a big snow storm coming our way. Not that I've joined in the chaotic panic buying at all the grocery stores, or started planning for the end of the world like others - but it's not all that often we get a really good blizzard around these parts. It's not supposed to get out of the 20's (right now it's only -2, it was -11 when I got up and the overnight low was -15) and we're supposed to get winds of 30 to 60 miles per hour to blow around all that powdery snow (since it's so cold, this snow will drift like crazy).

So when I go out for my new contacts (finally, they came in!) I'll fill up the gas cans we have so we can use the tractor to plow and I'll fill up the car - but my fridge and pantry is already fine and I think that both Moe and I are looking forward to snuggling up in the house while the snowstorm goes on outside.

Now if I could only get a snowday on Monday, things would be great...
