01/14/2005: "tropical sauna in my office"

It feels like a sauna in our office buildings today. Apparently the heat isn’t shut off – even when it’s 60 degrees with like 100% humidity outside. I feel like a giant washcloth that needs to be wrung out.

I know it’s New England, so all I have to do is wait for a minute and the weather will change, but generally speaking – we’ve had a pretty screwed up winter so far. We had temperatures almost below zero in December followed by days in January in the 50’s. We’ve had several ice storms and here it is almost tropical today.

Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures – I’ll keep the beard for now.

I’m feeling fairly lousy and I’m not sure what to do about it – or if anything can be done about it. I guess only time can tell really – but in the meantime I guess I just have to make the best of things. Though in the end I guess something good will come of it.

Yeah, I know cryptic, but like I said before - there are some things better left unsaid.

I had to listen to AC this morning telling the new girl all about the paychecks, the deductions and the fact that she doesn't make as much as I do and how unfair it was. Of course, she didn't use my name, but it was quite clear that she is still bitter that I make significantly more than she does. Oh well you stupid bitch - maybe if you actually did something - someone might notice. It doesn't matter anyway though, my position is classified higher then hers and I have a supervisory capacity, so I will always make more money than she does.
