12/01/2004: "no phone"

Don’t forget that today is World AIDS Day.

A rainy, windy and typically bleary late fall day here in Boston. Somehow I managed to avoid the splashes from cars and got here without getting too wet.

My Mom has seemed to decide that I need new furniture when she comes up to visit this weekend, so I am willing to guess I’ll have something new. Maybe I’ll bite the bullet and go and get that dining room set I saw at Jordans the other night.

I wasn’t able to get my new phone (well I could have, but I would have had to pay full price) because Verizon claimed I didn’t have the phone I had long enough to get a discount on a new phone. I also found out in the process that I’m going to have a huge phone bill this month (like triple digits bill) – but at least in the future – there is no possible way that we should be able to go over our new total shared minutes, along with the fact that we have unlimited mobile to mobile and nights and weekends

I told Moe I expect a new phone for my birthday since they said I could get a new phone (at the discount) in March.

I visited Moe and Sharon last night after the Verizon fiasco. I also realized that being a petty asshole doesn’t seem to end with high school for some people as I was exposed to exactly what others had been telling me about someone. I guess I should have relied on 1st impression, but I figured – what the heck, you can’t always have the right first impression. Well, I guess I did – chalk up another to intuition.
