I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say capitalism is a complete failure (since we all enjoy the benefits of it and I'd rather be living here, then in some other places in the world), but there are defintely problems with it. Add to that, the people running the country at this point, and it's practically a disaster. The problem is that in this country the right is energetic, vocal, and apparently, convinced that whatever it can do, it will do and that it's right. We have an almost non-existent left that appears to whimper and whine and then just roll over and play dead whenever the right wants to do something. The republicans dogged Clinton for 8 years, even impeaching him, and here we have a president in Bush who wasn't elected, and who basically lied to the country so he could finish his father's war, and no one is saying a single thing about it.
