Hello Again, Jeff... The republicans are in control of both the House & the Senate. Combine this with a repubican president and well, we're living with it now. Shrub wasn't elected- he was APPOINTED. Dubya was involved in a not so subtle COUP. Yes, you read that correctly. The current administration moved into power via a political coup, motivated by big oil and vendetta. It's amazing that the citizens' complacency in this nation is so widespread. Whatever happened to the republicans favoring a SMALLER government? The patriot act is scary. And PAv2 is even more scary AND we should not let it be passed! Where does ashcroft get off with his secret arrests and revocation of citizenship? These "proposals" will become law if patriot act version 2 is passed. Perhaps there is something to be gained from "Old Europe", a parlimentary system is better than a 2-party "representative" system. [pardon me but as a gay man, I don't like being taxed as a first class citizen when I'm treated like a second class citizen. The IRS has us all [the LGBTQ] community permanently locked into the higher paying SINGLE taxpayer class. Whatever happened to "No taxation without representation"? I don't know about you and your husband, but I know that I AM NOT represented in these united states. This country blows. I'm ashamed to be an american citizen of the united states. Some may say that I ought to get involved for the betterment of our society. I say for anyone who thinks that involvement in the political process would turn the tide of what is happening in this country, COP A FUCKING CLUE, KIDS! CAPITALISM IS A FAILURE and the document signed by our fore-fathers in 1776 is now merely a suggestion. Thanks Guys, for allowing me the space to exercise my Right to Free Speech. -robb :0)
